S8 Capital is a privately held Russian investment holding that builds and operates high-tech businesses across retail, telecommunications, e-commerce, digital media, insurance, and industrial manufacturing. Founded in 2015 by Armenian-Russian businessman Armen Sargsyan, the holding is best known for controlling Stoloto, the exclusive distributor of all-Russian state lotteries, which processes tens of thousands of transactions per second through 65,000 retail points and an online platform. Since the 2022 Western corporate exodus from Russia, S8 Capital has become one of the most aggressive buyers of divested assets, acquiring the Russian subsidiaries of Otis, Bosch, Continental, Cordiant, Bridgestone, Kone, and Huntsman, making it a dominant player in the domestic elevator and tire industries. The holding also owns digital services such as the insurance aggregator Strahovka.ru, the virtual mobile operator NextMobile, the betting platform 888.ru, the price comparison service Price.ru, and the sports media outlet Sport24. Despite its rapid expansion and industrial scale, S8 Capital remains highly secretive, with founder Sargsyan rarely appearing in public and never granting media interviews.
