Background & Corporate Structure

Hard Rock Las Vegas is a project of Hard Rock International (HRI), a privately held company owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. HRI is the master operator of all Hard Rock hotels, casinos, cafes, and live venues globally. The company's corporate headquarters are located in Davie, Florida. HRI also operates the digital joint venture Hard Rock Digital, which powers the online sportsbook and igaming platform Hard Rock Bet.

History of the Las Vegas Property

The site originally opened as The Mirage in 1989. In December 2021, HRI announced it would purchase The Mirage's operating assets and convert the property into a Hard Rock resort. The acquisition closed in 2022, and construction began later that year. The signature feature will be a 660-foot-tall guitar-shaped hotel, echoing the design of the company's Hollywood, Florida Guitar Hotel. The project is expected to open in phases, with the full resort operational by 2027 or 2028 (subject to regulatory approvals and construction timelines).
