Pringle Robotics emerged from Pringle Technologies, an enterprise software company whose BistroStack platform helped restaurant owners streamline operations. In 2019, sales and support specialists at Pringle Technologies began hearing recurring complaints from clients about severe staffing shortages and overworked employees—problems that software alone could not solve. Sudheer Sajja, the founder of the Pringle Group, encouraged employees to brainstorm technology‑based solutions. With the COVID‑19 pandemic intensifying the need for rigorous sanitation, Sajja developed two prototype robots in his home basement: one for food serving and one for disinfection.
