2026-08-05
Cubeia has named Christian Karlsson, formerly of Checkin.com, GetID, Gaming Innovation Group and LeoVegas, as its new Chief Revenue Officer effective August 3, 2026, to lead global revenue growth.
Stockholm-based iGaming solutions provider Cubeia has appointed Christian Karlsson as Chief Revenue Officer, with the appointment taking effect on August 3, 2026. The company announced the move on August 5.
Karlsson brings more than a decade of commercial leadership experience across fintech, identity verification and iGaming. He joins from Checkin.com, the Nasdaq First North Stockholm-listed identity verification and fintech group, where he served as Acting CEO from 2024 to 2025 following six years as Chief Commercial Officer. During his time there, he also held the role of CEO at GetID, the group's biometric identity verification subsidiary.
Commenting on his appointment, Karlsson said the company has "delivered exceptional growth while building a strong and profitable business," and that the opportunity to lead its commercial organisation through the next phase is "incredibly exciting."
Earlier in his career, Karlsson was Head of Client Operations at Gaming Innovation Group and Head of Payments and Fraud at LeoVegas, where he led payments and fraud strategy.
Cubeia's Interim CEO, Kim Sandström, said Karlsson's background in building and scaling commercial and platform businesses through IPOs and market expansion makes him well suited for the role. "He knows what operators need from a technology partner because he's sat on that side of the table," Sandström added.
As CRO, Karlsson will lead Cubeia's global revenue strategy, working closely with product and technical teams to help operators launch, scale and stay compliant across new and existing markets.
Cubeia, founded in 2007, specialises in turnkey crypto casino solutions, including the Cubeia Nano platform and its poker software and hybrid poker network.
