GR8_TECH has rebranded to signal a commitment to agility, while its CRO argues that during World Cup events, operators should prioritise retaining existing players over costly acquisition, using personalisation and efficiency to extend lifetime value.
Platform provider GR8_TECH has unveiled a refreshed brand identity, a move its chief revenue officer says reflects a deeper commitment to adaptability and continuous improvement. Despite the subtle name change—introducing caps and a dash—the company’s ambition has shifted significantly, according to Sergey Ghazaryan.
Rebranding as a Strategic Pivot
Ghazaryan explained that the new branding is not merely cosmetic. “Brand identity should represent what you stand for,” he said, adding that the company’s core philosophy is that “nothing is set in stone.” The rebrand signals a refusal to stagnate, he noted, and underscores a dedication to growth that extends beyond product development.
World Cup Lessons: Playing Defence
Reflecting on the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Ghazaryan stressed that operators often overemphasise acquisition during global tournaments while neglecting retention. “Protecting your players is as important as getting new players during the World Cup,” he said, arguing that without a defensive strategy, the market merely shifts players between brands. GR8_TECH’s approach involved doubling down on personalisation and seamless user experience to keep existing players engaged. “Essentially, weaponising our sportsbook,” Ghazaryan described, noting that this strategy has historically produced high retention rates for the company’s partners.
Maximising Lifetime Value Through Extension
Acquisition costs spike during major events, making lifetime value (LTV) critical. Ghazaryan cautioned against a narrow focus on short-term revenue extraction. “The way to increase [LTV] isn’t always by trying to squeeze more revenue out of a player,” he said. “It’s about extending that lifetime for as long as possible.” GR8_TECH leverages AI-driven customisation and unique content to keep players engaged longer, enabling clients to offset high CPA with stronger long-term profitability.
Future Growth Drivers: Efficiency and VIP Care
Looking ahead, Ghazaryan identified operational efficiency as a key battleground. “If you’re spending too much money running your platform, you won’t have enough left to acquire increasingly expensive traffic,” he noted. The company is investing in proprietary technology to reduce loading times and automate overhead, giving operators more room to invest in acquisition and player rewards. He also highlighted the importance of VIP players, calling them “the lifeblood of this market” and stressing that a premium tailored experience is essential for retention.
In closing, Ghazaryan emphasised that the platform’s role is to improve clients’ profit-and-loss statements. “As a platform, you can’t be too greedy,” he said. “You have to understand what your clients need and give it to them.”
