Hong Kong Jockey Club Brings Sport-Focused Learning Exhibit to Book Fair

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has set up a week-long interactive exhibition at the 36th Hong Kong Book Fair, aiming to promote healthy habits and personal growth among youth through sport-themed activities. The display runs from July 15 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Activities draw inspiration from football, rugby, fencing, equestrian sports, cycling, and badminton. Participants can engage with topics such as cyber literacy, emotional management, social skills, time management, and financial literacy through hands-on experiences. The Club describes the approach as "learning through play," targeting children, teenagers, and their families.

To widen access, HKJC has distributed roughly 2,000 complimentary Book Fair tickets through community organisations. During the weekend, volunteers from the Care@hkjc team will offer free arm and face painting, and visitors who finish all activities can receive a limited-edition souvenir while supplies last.

Raymond Tam, Executive Director of Corporate Affairs at HKJC, toured the exhibit on its opening day and spoke with primary school students. He noted that the Club has worked for many years with community partners to deliver educational programmes that support holistic development from an early age.

The exhibition is part of a broader portfolio of HKJC initiatives focused on education, sport, and youth engagement. Earlier in July, the Club announced the return of its Youth Football Academy Summit, and recent charitable projects have included backing for higher education, grassroots sports programs, and cultural heritage preservation.
