IGT to Deploy 720 VLTs Across Saskatchewan Under Renewed WCLC Agreement

International Game Technology (IGT), through its Canadian subsidiary, has signed a new agreement with the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) to supply 720 video lottery terminals (VLTs) to retailers in Saskatchewan during 2026. This marks the second consecutive year WCLC has chosen IGT for a VLT rollout, extending a partnership that has produced multiple contracts over the past seven years.

Hardware and Game Content

The VLTs being deployed are IGT's Sierra27 cabinets, also referred to as CrystalDual 27 units. Each machine features two 27-inch high-definition screens, a 13.3-inch player panel with dual push buttons, wireless charging output, and an ergonomic design with integrated mobile phone charging ports. The units run IGT's Game to System communication protocol, enabling remote software downloads, configuration, and verification.

IGT is supplying a library of games tailored for the Canadian market, including titles such as 7’s Wild Gold, Big City 5’s, The Wild Life, and Thunder Stampede. Two new titles developed specifically for this deal — Cash Eruption Temple of Fire and Greenback Attack — will also be available on the terminals.

Broader Corporate Context

Separately, IGT's Vice President of Global Communications & Investor Relations, Phil O’Shaughnessy, confirmed that the company will shutter its electronic table games (ETG) division on July 15, 2027. The ETG business, which offered blackjack, baccarat, and roulette, required substantial casino floor space, a factor that contributed to IGT's decision to wind down the unit.
