Patricia Tate Makes History as First Woman and Tribal Member to Lead SRCGE

Patricia Tate has been appointed President and CEO of Salt River Community Gaming Enterprises (SRCGE), becoming both the first woman and the first enrolled Tribal member to hold that position in the organization’s history. Tate, who originally joined SRCGE in 2004 as Controller, has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the past 15 years.

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community President Martin Harvier highlighted the significance of the appointment, calling it “an important milestone for our gaming enterprise and our Community.” He noted that Tate’s 22 years of service have given her a deep grasp of the organization, strong financial expertise, and a long-term commitment to its success. “I look forward to working alongside her as we continue to strengthen our gaming enterprise for the benefit of our Community,” Harvier added.

Tate described her new role as “both a privilege and a profound responsibility” and said she is “grateful for the trust placed in me.” She emphasized a leadership approach rooted in integrity, accountability, and respect for the Community’s values, culture, and long-term vision.

As President and CEO, Tate will oversee daily operations at Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort, the two properties managed by SRCGE on behalf of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Her focus will include sustainable growth, operational excellence, employee development, and continued investment in initiatives that support the Tribe’s economic sovereignty.

Separately, Seneca Resorts & Casinos named Lon O’Donnell as its new Senior Vice President of Gaming Operations on July 8. O’Donnell will develop and implement gaming strategy across the operator’s three commercial properties. He previously served as Vice President and General Manager of Bally’s Casino Black Hawk in Colorado and as Vice President of Gaming Strategy for Grand Casino Mille Lacs in Minnesota.
