SAGSE Paraguay's 2026 summit closed with more than 345 attendees and a confirmed 2027 return at Hotel Casino Acaray from August 4-6, featuring a strong operator-to-supplier ratio, regulator panels and technical training.
The 2026 edition of SAGSE Paraguay has come to a close, with organizers reporting more than 345 registered participants. Attendance spanned operators, regulators, government officials, international sponsors, strategic suppliers, technical staff from casino floors, and security, surveillance and operations teams, as well as industry representatives from across the region.
Alongside wrapping up a successful edition, the final day had a social component, giving attendees the chance to visit Iguazu Falls. Organizers also used the closing to confirm that the summit will return to Hotel Casino Acaray in Ciudad del Este on August 4-6, 2027.
In its post-event recap, the organization highlighted a notable attendance pattern: roughly 2.75 operators were present for every supplier, underlining the event's small-format, invitation-only setup and its emphasis on decision-makers.
The opening day was centered on SAGSE Summit/University, with sessions on regulation, operations, market professionalization, sports betting, online casino, omnichannel strategies, compliance, legal certainty and opportunities for local operators. A strong institutional presence marked the day as well: Luis Liseras, recently reinstated as president of CONAJZAR, joined a panel on the present and future of Paraguay's gaming market alongside regulators, operators, international suppliers and legal experts.
Another key session dealt with illegal online gambling in Paraguay, with speakers urging a coordinated response from the state, the judiciary, relevant authorities and the regulated private sector.
Day two was built around SAGSE Academy/College, a practical, technical program that drew more than 150 casino floor professionals, including technicians, operations managers, security and surveillance teams and other operational staff. Topics covered floor security, incident response procedures, coordination between technical and surveillance teams, event documentation, anomaly detection and operational best practices.
With Paraguay's profile as an emerging gaming market continuing to rise, organizers said the 2027 confirmation reflects international operators' and suppliers' interest and the need for a permanent forum for training, networking and public-private dialogue. The next edition is scheduled for August 4-6, again at Hotel Casino Acaray.
