Zitro delivered over 3,200 hours of ESG training to staff across its Spanish sites in 2025, a 33% rise from 2024, with per-employee hours exceeding the annual target. The programme spans environmental, social and governance topics and was developed jointly by the company's Sustainability and Learning departments.
Zitro delivered more than 3,200 hours of environmental, social and governance (ESG) training across its Spanish facilities in 2025, a 33% increase compared with the previous year.
The average training time per employee rose to 3.80 hours, up from 3.12 hours in 2024, surpassing the company's internal target for the year. The increase was driven by a collaborative effort between Zitro's Sustainability and Learning departments, which designed the initiatives and adapted content to reflect the organisation's evolving operational priorities.
Training focuses on three ESG pillars
Environmental sessions covered energy efficiency, waste management, circular economy practices and methods for reducing the carbon footprint of daily operations.
Social training addressed occupational health and safety, diversity and inclusion, work‑life balance and employee well‑being.
Governance‑related instruction emphasised business ethics, regulatory compliance, transparency and corporate best practices.
Zitro stated that the expanded training programme reinforces its commitment to corporate responsibility by aligning internal employee development with internationally recognised ESG standards.
