Antanas Guoga (Tony G)

Antanas Guoga (born 17 December 1973, Kaunas, Lithuania), known worldwide as Tony G, is a Lithuanian-Australian entrepreneur, former professional poker player, and politician. He emigrated to Melbourne, Australia at age 11 during the Soviet era and became a child prodigy as Lithuania’s Rubik’s Cube champion. Guoga studied accounting and finance before working in investment banking at Citibank in Hong Kong.

He gained international fame in the 2000s as a high-stakes poker player with an aggressive, trash-talking style, amassing over $11.3 million in live tournament earnings. Off the felt, Guoga founded the influential poker news and strategy site PokerNews.com in 2002 and launched the sportsbook and poker room TonyBet in 2009 (sold in 2016). He remains a major shareholder in Nasdaq-listed Sol Strategies Inc. and is an active blockchain and crypto investor.

Guoga served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Lithuania from 2014 to 2019, representing the Liberal Movement, and later sat in the Lithuanian Seimas (national parliament) from 2020. He has also held the position of Public CIO to the Mayor of Vilnius.

In 2025, Guoga was appointed Head of EdenShield® Europe for Eden Innovations Ltd, a role focused on securing government and NATO contracts for blast-mitigation and security technology across European defence, infrastructure, and transport sectors.
