Antonio Barreca
General Director of Federturismo Confindustria and Special Advisor & Head of Project Management to Prince Turki Bin Talal Al Saud
Antonio Barreca has served as General Director of Federturismo Confindustria since 2011, representing 9,000 companies across 25 trade associations in the Italian tourism supply chain, including transport, hotels, ports, and ski lifts. Since 2020, he has also been Special Advisor and Head of Project Management to Prince Turki Bin Talal Al Saud for the economic, tourism, and infrastructural development of the Asir Region in Saudi Arabia.
In the iGaming context, Barreca is a participant in casino-industry events, such as the iGathering Dinner where he discussed how casinos and gaming hubs influence tourism. His primary ongoing role remains in tourism and economic development, which includes casino and gaming projects.
He holds a degree in Political Science from Luiss Guido Carli University, a PhD in Comparative Public Law from the University of Perugia, and studied at Harvard Kennedy School. He previously worked for the European Affairs Office of Federturismo Confindustria in Brussels and for the Presidency of the Council in Italy, and currently teaches at Luiss Business School.
