Antonio Melé is the Founder and CTO of Orbio AI, an agentic AI platform that automates HR and recruiting processes for frontline workers. He co-founded the company in 2025 alongside Sergi Bastardas and Nacho Travesí.
He holds an MSc in Computer Science and has been developing Django projects since 2006. He is the author of the Django By Example book series and leads the Spanish Django community (django.es). Prior to Orbio AI, he founded Nucoro, a fintech platform for building wealth management applications.
Under his leadership, Orbio AI's AI agents have handled over 2 million candidates, exchanged 20 million messages, and reduced time-to-hire by 85% for clients including Ribera Salud, The Adecco Group, and Yum! Brands. In 2025, the company raised a $21 million Series A round led by Dawn Capital.
