Avi Shaked

Co-founder of online gambling giant 888 Holdings and Israeli political figure

Avi Shaked is an Israeli entrepreneur best known as the co-founder of 888 Holdings, a major online gambling company originally launched as Casino-on-Net in 1997. He co-founded the company with his brother Aaron Shaked and the brothers Ron and Shay Ben-Yitzhaq. Shaked remains a significant shareholder and is often identified as the last co-founder with a major stake in the firm.

In addition to his business career, Shaked has been active in Israeli politics. A former member of the Labor Party, he ran for the party’s leadership primary in 2024, losing to Yair Golan, and opposed the Labor–Meretz merger. In June 2025, he announced the formation of a new Jewish-Arab political party called “Beyachad Natzliach” (“together we will succeed”).
