Board Director at Sui Group Holdings (Nasdaq: SUIG)

Brian D. Quintenz is a board chairman, director, investor, and advisor to financial technology firms. He currently serves as Board Director of Sui Group Holdings (Nasdaq: SUIG), Chair of the Board of Next Level Derivatives, a Board member of KalshiEx (the CFTC-regulated futures exchange of Kalshi), and an advisor to Ubyx. Previously, he was the Global Head of Policy for a16z crypto, the crypto venture fund of Andreessen Horowitz.

Prior to that, he was nominated by President Donald Trump in 2017 and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate as a commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), where he served for four years until stepping down in August 2021. During his CFTC tenure, he chaired the agency’s Technology Advisory Committee and advocated for innovative event contracts and digital asset markets.

Quintenz began his career in finance at Hill‑Townsend Capital, a registered investment advisor, and also worked on Capitol Hill for the House Committee on Financial Services and for Congresswoman Deborah Pryce. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a BA from DePauw University.
