Carlos Fávaro
Brazilian Senator for Mato Grosso and Minister of Agriculture and Livestock
Carlos Henrique Baqueta Fávaro is a Brazilian federal senator from Mato Grosso and, since January 2023, the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock in the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. An agronomist and agribusiness producer from the Sinop region of Mato Grosso, he entered federal politics as a federal deputy and was elected to the Senate in 2018. He has served as minister while on leave from his Senate seat, with his Senate mandate running through February 2027.
