Chanaki Mallikarachchi serves as Director (ICT) at the Ministry of Digital Economy of Sri Lanka, where she leads the development of digital policies, frameworks, and infrastructure. She champions inclusion by design, embedding accessibility, gender equity, and regional diversity into national digital initiatives such as the National Digital Economy Blueprint and the National AI Strategy. Her work bridges the gap between technical implementation and policy formulation, collaborating with regulators like TRCSL, SLCERT, and the PDPA Office on AI ethics, cybersecurity, and data protection. She is also an active speaker on iGaming regulation, advocating for a secure, interoperable, and auditable digital backbone to support Sri Lanka’s gaming ecosystem.
