Dame Caroline Dinenage

Dame Caroline Dinenage is the Conservative MP for Gosport and Chair of the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee, a role she assumed in May 2023. This cross-party committee oversees gambling regulation, broadcasting, digital policy, and creative industries, making her a central figure in the UK's legislative landscape for iGaming and media.
Before entering national politics, Dinenage ran her own manufacturing company and served as the youngest councillor on Winchester District Council. Elected to the House of Commons in 2010, she held several ministerial positions between 2015 and 2021, including Minister of State for Social Care and Minister of State for Digital and Culture. In the latter role, she led work on the Online Safety Bill, which shaped the regulatory framework for digital platforms.
Dinenage was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the 2022 Political Honours. Her committee has conducted multiple inquiries into the gambling industry, frequently engaging with bodies such as the Betting and Gaming Council, reinforcing her direct influence on gambling regulation.
