Founder and CEO of Kora

Dickson Nsofor is a Nigerian entrepreneur who built Kora, a fintech company driving financial innovation across Africa. He began his career as a teenage apprentice in Alaba Market, Lagos, selling plastics and running errands before founding multiple startups. After several ventures that did not succeed, he founded Kora, which now provides payment infrastructure for businesses, including iGaming platforms.

Kora is a pan-African business payments infrastructure provider that enables iGaming payouts and other financial transactions across the continent. The company serves the iGaming and gambling vertical, offering solutions for seamless payment processing.

Nsofor often speaks about the Igbo apprenticeship system and the importance of mentorship. He credits his early experiences in Alaba Market and his subsequent failures with shaping his approach to building Kora.

He holds educational credentials from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford; Nankai University; and Covenant University, reflecting a diverse academic background that complements his entrepreneurial journey.

Under his leadership, Kora has grown into a notable player in African fintech, with a particular focus on enabling digital payments for high-growth sectors like iGaming.
