Doug Merritt is an enterprise technology leader with a track record of scaling companies from tens of millions to billions in revenue. He became Chairman, CEO, and President of Aviatrix in July 2023, succeeding co‑founder Steve Mullaney. Previously, he served as President and CEO of Splunk for six years from 2015, growing the company from $100 M in annual recurring revenue to nearly $3 B in 2022 and dramatically increasing its market capitalisation.
Under his leadership, Aviatrix has pivoted toward AI workload protection and launched the Cloud Native Security Fabric. Merritt holds earlier executive roles at Baynote, 3ware, Cisco, and Data Domain, and serves as an advisor, investor, and board member for several companies.
