Dr Sameer Al Ansari

Dr Sameer Al Ansari is a UK-qualified chartered accountant with over 40 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, governance, and digital asset innovation. He has held senior leadership roles across multiple sectors and geographies, with a strong focus on the Middle East and UK markets.

Currently, Dr Al Ansari serves as Founder of PEPlus Capital Advisors, Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of Develop North PLC, Non-Executive Director and Chair of Audit Committee at Al Ramz PJSC, and Non-Executive Director at TVM Healthcare Partners. He also joined the board of Interpolitan Money in November 2024. His governance expertise is widely recognised across listed and private entities.

Earlier in his career, Dr Al Ansari was CEO of RAK Digital Assets Oasis (RAK DAO), a free zone for digital assets and blockchain technology, until April 2025, and concurrently served as CEO of RAK International Corporate Centre from 2018 to 2024. He previously held top executive positions at SHUAA Capital (CEO), Dubai International Capital (Executive Chairman/CEO), and The Executive Office of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Group CFO). He also served as a Board Member of the Dubai International Financial Centre from 2004 to 2016.

Dr Al Ansari holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Loughborough University, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Loughborough University for outstanding achievement and leadership in finance. He was a visiting fellow at Oxford University Said Business School. His speaking engagements at iGaming conferences such as SiGMA Eurasia connect his digital assets expertise with the gambling industry.
