Emma Lindley has worked in the identity verification industry for over 20 years. She left school at 18 with few qualifications and built her career from the ground up, eventually becoming a recognised expert in digital identity, KYC and fraud prevention – particularly within the gambling and iGaming sectors. She is a co‑founder of Women In Identity, a non‑profit advocating for diversity and inclusion in the identity industry.
In November 2022 she received an MBE from King Charles III for services to diversity and inclusion in the digital identity field. This honour, documented by Women In Identity, reflects her longstanding commitment to broadening participation in the industry.
At Caf.io, she leads the company’s expansion outside Brazil, helping gambling operators with age verification, identity checks, AML/KYC compliance and fraud prevention. She has been quoted extensively in industry press discussing the regulation of sports betting in Brazil and the importance of player safety, as seen in interviews with GamesBras and coverage of the Eyas Gaming partnership.
