
Eric P. Hansotia is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of AGCO Corporation, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural machinery and precision ag technology. Under his leadership, AGCO’s team of approximately 22,000 employees across six continents pursue a Farmer-First strategy focused on smart farming solutions.
Before becoming CEO in 2021, Hansotia served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing regional commercial operations, global product management, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain. He joined AGCO in 2013 as Senior Vice President of Global Harvesting and Advanced Technology Solutions.
Prior to AGCO, Hansotia spent 20 years at Deere & Company in various global leadership roles, including Vice President of Global Forestry, General Manager of Harvester Works, and leadership in Crop Care and Crop Harvesting. He has extensive experience in engineering, quality, advanced technology, manufacturing, product management and global business leadership within the agriculture industry.
Hansotia serves on the Board of Directors of The Toro Company and is a member of The Business Council and the North American Agriculture Advisory Board (Rabobank). He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and an MBA from the University of Iowa. Born in London, UK, he grew up working on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and resides in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area with his wife and two children.
