Gary Or

Gary Or is a seasoned hacker, product designer, and entrepreneur, recognized for his significant contributions to the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors. He graduated from The University of Hong Kong in 2012 with a degree in Computer Science.

His career spans over nine years with extensive full-stack engineering experience, particularly in Ruby on Rails, Elixir, and Go. Or has held positions at various organizations, including EventX and Stepcase. He is particularly passionate about cutting-edge technologies like Docker, Golang, and Elasticsearch, and prioritizes time-to-market in product design.

Or co-founded Crypto.com (formerly Monaco), a major universal money app paired with a physical Visa card, facilitating global exchange of crypto and fiat currencies at interbank rates. He served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Crypto.com from 2016 to 2020. Additionally, he co-founded Foris, a Southeast Asian universal money app.

In December 2020, Gary Or stepped down from his CTO role at Crypto.com to focus entirely on Particle B, a startup accelerator he founded. Particle B is dedicated to incubating high-potential DeFi projects built on various blockchains, including the Crypto.com Chain, Bitcoin, and Ethereum networks, aiming to launch at least one project per quarter. He is also recognized as the founder of Cronos Labs and Crypto.com Capital.
