Harinder Sangha

Harinder Sangha is an award-winning studio leader with over a decade of experience in AAA and mobile game development. She currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Co‑founder of Maverick Games, a studio established in 2021 by veterans of the Forza Horizon series. In this role, she oversees operations and strategy for the studio, which has quickly gained recognition in the industry.

Before co‑founding Maverick, Sangha was Operations Director at Sumo Digital’s Leamington Spa studio from 2019 to 2021. During her tenure, she helped the studio win the 2020 GI.biz Diversity Award and achieve recognition as one of the best small studios to work for in the UK. Her work at Sumo Digital reinforced her reputation as a leader who champions inclusive workplace culture.

Earlier in her career, Sangha spent over a decade at Sega Hardlight (as Operations Director) and Codemasters, where she honed her expertise in operational management within the games industry. She has been a key figure in building high‑performing teams that deliver successful titles across multiple platforms.

Beyond her studio work, Sangha is an ambassador for SpecialEffect, a charity that helps people with disabilities play video games. She sits on the advisory board of Women in Games and was elected to the board of Ukie, the UK’s games industry trade body. In 2024, she received the G Into Gaming Award at the UK Best Places to Work Awards for her advocacy for women in the industry.
