Ivan Yustiavandana
Head of PPATK, Indonesia’s financial intelligence unit
Ivan Yustiavandana is the head of PPATK, Indonesia’s financial intelligence unit, and a former Indonesian National Police cyber-crime director. He was appointed to lead the agency by President Joko Widodo in 2023.
Before joining PPATK, Yustiavandana served in the Indonesian National Police, reaching the rank of Brigadier General in the Criminal Investigation Agency. As Director of Cyber Crime, he was publicly involved in handling online-gambling investigations, a background that shaped his later enforcement focus.
In the gambling context, Yustiavandana has become a central figure in Indonesia’s crackdown on illegal online gambling. PPATK under his leadership has reported large-scale illegal online-gambling transaction flows, coordinated blocking of suspicious bank accounts, and supported the President’s online-gambling task force.
His public statements often highlight the scale of illegal gambling money entering the financial system and the agency’s efforts to trace and freeze such funds.
