James Neville

James Neville is the CEO and co-founder of Yaspa, an award-winning open banking payment platform founded in 2017. Yaspa specializes in intelligent payments, combining real-time bank payments (Pay by Bank) with verified customer insights and a comprehensive suite of payment and account verification services. The company's unique approach connects identity and money on a singular transaction, aiming to reduce fraud and friction, particularly within regulated spaces like the gambling arena. Yaspa currently operates across 19 European markets and is actively planning expansion into the Americas, with a focus on shaping the nascent US regulated gaming market.

Prior to co-founding Yaspa (originally known as Citizen), Neville accumulated decades of experience in the fintech and payments industry. In 2015, as CTO at Worldpay, he was instrumental in launching their next-generation online payment platform, navigating significant legislative changes such as GDPR, SCA, and the EU's PSD2.

His extensive career also includes leadership positions at a diverse range of prominent brands. He held senior operational roles at Just Eat and Sportingbet, as well as at Shopa, WGSN, Ascential, and Babcock & Brown.
