Global CEO of TGI Sport

James Rushton is the Global CEO of TGI Sport, a role he assumed in December 2025, leading the sports-technology enterprise in its strategic growth and global scaling of technology solutions. He is widely recognized for his extensive career in the sports media industry, spanning over 25 years in global digital and commercial roles.

Prior to his leadership at TGI Sport, Rushton held significant positions at DAZN and its predecessor, Perform Group. He was instrumental in building DAZN into a global sports streaming powerhouse, serving as Co-CEO alongside Shay Segev in 2021 before Segev took over as sole CEO in January 2022.

Rushton's journey with DAZN began at its conception in 2015, and he served as CEO for its launch in 2016. He later took on responsibilities as Chief Revenue Officer of the expanded DAZN Group in September 2018, overseeing all market launches and revenue management functions. In July 2020, he was appointed acting CEO of DAZN Group. His career at Perform Group, which he joined in 2003, included various senior roles such as managing director of APAC and managing director of Australia and New Zealand.

His expertise lies in instigating disruption, leveraging data for decision-making, and fostering collaboration within the evolving media landscape. Rushton's strategic vision has been key to expanding digital broadcasting capabilities and monetizing sports content. He earned an MBA from the University of Birmingham.
