Jan Řehola
Founder and Director of Institute for Gambling Regulation (IPRH/IFGR) and Partner at PS Legal
Jan Řehola is a Czech gaming lawyer and regulatory expert with over 15 years of experience in gambling regulation, spanning both the public and private sectors. He holds a Master of Law from Charles University and a Ph.D. focused on the financial aspects of gambling regulation. He previously served as the Director of the Gambling Regulation Department at the Czech Ministry of Finance, where he helped shape national and European gambling policy.
In 2017, he founded the Institute for Gambling Regulation (IPRH/IFGR), which now represents approximately 95% of the legal gambling market in the Czech Republic. The institute runs the IRIS technological platform for early detection of risky player behaviour and publishes the “Black Book” of illegal gambling.
Řehola is a regular speaker at international conferences and a partner at PS Legal, where he advises on gambling-related legal matters. His work focuses on responsible gambling, regulatory development, and collaboration between industry and public authorities.
