Jeremy Kreisberg

Jeremy Kreisberg is a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, specializing in appeals and complex litigation, with a significant focus on regulatory matters in the iGaming and gambling industry. He advises both commercial and government entities and has represented clients in high-profile litigation before various courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

His recent work includes successfully representing the California Gaming Association in a challenge against the California Department of Justice's Bureau of Gambling Control. In this capacity, he argued that the Bureau had overstepped its authority in attempting to implement statewide restrictions on blackjack-style games and player-dealer arrangements in California cardrooms. His arguments led to a favorable ruling by a San Francisco Superior Court judge, preserving the longstanding operation of these games.

Before rejoining Munger, Tolles & Olson, Kreisberg held several prominent government positions. He served as special assistant to the president and senior associate counsel in the White House Counsel's Office from 2021 to 2025, providing legal advice on healthcare and immigration policies and liaising with the Department of Justice on civil litigation. Prior to that, he was a senior advisor to the general counsel for the U.S. Department of the Treasury and a special assistant in the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Kreisberg's legal career also includes clerking for Justice Elena Kagan at the U.S. Supreme Court and Judge Stephen Reinhardt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2014, where he was a Notes Editor on the Harvard Law Review. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, receiving a B.A. with distinction in Political Science.
