Joaquim Agut is a Spanish business executive with a background in electrical engineering and an MBA from IESE Business School. He joined Cirsa in 2006 as CEO and General Director, a role he held until 2022, when he became Executive Chairman. Under his leadership, Cirsa has grown into one of the leading gaming and entertainment companies in Europe.

Before Cirsa, Agut served as President and CEO of Endemol BV from 2004 to 2006, one of the world's largest television production companies. From 2000 to 2003, he was President and CEO of Terra Lycos within the Telefónica Group, navigating the company through the dot-com era. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years at General Electric (1992–2000), ultimately becoming President of GE's Corporate Executive Board in Europe and GE's first European Corporate Officer.

Agut also held a role as General Manager and Head of Business Development at Synthese, a subsidiary of AKZO, and helped develop the family business Agut SA, which was acquired by GE in 1992. He currently serves as an Independent Director of the Uriach Family Ownership Council, a pharmaceutical company. Agut holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and an MBA from IESE Business School.
