Jean-Pierre 'JP' Aubin, 58, is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of BGC Group, Inc., a role he has held since February 2025. He also continues to serve as Chief Executive Officer of EMEA, a position he has held since 2008. Based in London and New York, Aubin has been instrumental in the company's expansion in Europe.
He joined BGC in 2005 and helped drive rapid growth through acquisitions such as ETC Pollak in 2005 and Aurel BGC in 2006, where he became President in 2012. Prior to BGC, Aubin began his career at the Viel-Tradition Group in 1999 after completing the Barclays Bank student training programme. He traded futures and options for 10 years in London and Paris before being promoted to President and Global Head of Listed Products for Continental Europe in 2000.
Aubin is a board member of the Réunion des Musées Nationaux since 2015 and founded the JP Aubin Family Foundation in 2022. In 2023 he was awarded Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres. He graduated in 1989 from the French business school Ecole d’Administration et de Direction des Affaires with a Master’s degree in economics.
