Karoly Buzás

Karoly Buzás is a prominent figure in the European iGaming and gambling industry, with a career spanning over 25 years. He is currently the Treasurer of the European Gaming and Amusement Federation (EUROMAT), a position he was re-elected to in May 2025, representing the Romanian Slot Operators' Association (ROMSLOT).

In addition to his European role, Buzás is an active member of the Board of Directors for ROMSLOT, a key Romanian association that serves as the voice of the slot machine industry in dialogue with authorities. He was elected to this board in late 2016 and re-confirmed in subsequent years, including a mention in a June 2019 article. His involvement with ROMSLOT dates back to its establishment, where he has actively contributed to the association's activities, including promoting responsible gaming initiatives.

Buzás is also significantly involved with the Game World Romania group of companies, where he holds a management position. He was identified as the General Manager of Game World as early as 2015. His deep connection to Game World Romania is further evidenced by a 2024 report from the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) which lists him with a 15.51% ownership in a company related to the Game World Romania group. Game World Romania is a major operator of electronic gambling halls in Romania, with a network of premium slot halls across several cities.
