Kris Marszalek is a Polish entrepreneur widely recognized as the co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com, a prominent Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange and payment platform. Born in 1977 in Poland, Marszalek graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University. He is known for his aggressive global expansion strategies and high-profile marketing campaigns, including the $700 million deal to rename the Staples Center to the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and partnerships with Formula 1, the UFC, and the FIFA World Cup.

Before venturing into the blockchain space, Marszalek had a significant career in e-commerce and consumer technology. He co-founded and led Starline Polska, a consumer electronics design and manufacturing firm. Later, he moved to Hong Kong, where he founded the location-based service platform Yiyi and the successful e-commerce site Beecrazy, which was sold to the iBuy Group in 2013 for a reported $21 million. He then served as the CEO of Ensogo, a discount deal retailer operating across Southeast Asia.

Marszalek co-founded Monaco in 2016, a company that initially offered blockchain-based debit cards. In 2018, Monaco was rebranded to Crypto.com, aiming to accelerate the global adoption of cryptocurrency. Under his leadership, Crypto.com has expanded to offer a wide array of services including cryptocurrency trading, decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and Visa crypto cards, amassing over 80 million users globally.

In addition to his work with Crypto.com, Marszalek is also the CEO of Foris, a company focused on building innovative applications using blockchain technology. More recently, in 2025, he acquired the domain name AI.com for a record $70 million and founded a new venture focused on artificial general intelligence (AGI), with a vision to create a decentralized network of self-improving AI agents. He aims to apply a similar mass adoption strategy to AI.com as he did with Crypto.com.
