Lester Marston

Lester Marston is a Ukiah‑based attorney specializing in federal Indian law, tribal sovereignty, and tribal gaming matters. He has served as Chief Judge of the Blue Lake Tribal Court and has represented multiple California tribes in high‑profile cases, including the landmark Acres Bonusing, Inc. v. Marston dispute over casino‑gaming device royalties and the successful 2024 defense of tribal reservation boundaries.

Marston is a frequent speaker at California Indian law conferences and co‑authored the 1986 article The Indian Commerce Clause: The Reports of its Death have been Greatly Exaggerated. He maintains his own law office in Ukiah, California.
