Marco Zechini

Marco Zechini is an Italian lawyer with over twenty years of experience in banking and financial regulation and fintech. He is an Equity Partner at Alma LED, based in Rome, where he coordinates the firm’s Banking and Financial Regulation practice.
His practice focuses on assisting banks, payment institutions, e-money institutions (IMELs), investment firms (SIM/SGR), and other financial intermediaries with authorization procedures, regulatory compliance, relations with supervisory authorities, outsourcing agreements, fintech and insure-tech projects, and M&A transactions involving regulated entities. He has been recognized by Chambers FinTech Legal and Legal 500 for his expertise.
Before co-founding Alma LED, Marco was a partner at DLA Piper in Rome from 2010 to 2014 and at Orrick in Rome from 2015 to 2019. His work has also extended into the iGaming sector, where he has spoken at SiGMA World and provided commentary on Italian gambling regulation reforms.
