Mariana de la Roche Wills is a Colombian-born leader with over a decade of experience at the intersection of law, human rights, public administration, and technology. She holds a law degree (with academic excellence), a specialization in human rights and humanitarian law, and a master’s degree in public administration. Based in Germany for the past eight years, she has worked as a project manager and legal/regulatory advisor for NGOs and social businesses in Colombia and Germany.
She is the founder of BlackVogel by MdlRW, a consultancy that aligns innovation with purpose. The firm provides expert guidance on responsible and ethical use of technology, with a focus on blockchain, AI, regulatory strategy, and social impact. Previously, she served as Regulatory Affairs Manager at the IOTA Foundation, a role that deepened her expertise in distributed ledger technology and regulatory frameworks.
Since 2021, Mariana has been a co‑chair of the INATBA Social Impact and Sustainability Working Group and now serves on INATBA’s Board of Directors. She is a founding member and leader of BC100+, an initiative supporting UN Charter values and the Sustainable Development Goals. Her work actively contributes to EU regulation on blockchain, AI, decentralized finance, and DAOs, focusing on sustainability, climate change, inclusivity, and transparency through technology.
