
Mark Ghermezian

Mark Ghermezian is best known as the co-founder of Appboy (now Braze), a customer engagement platform that went public in 2021. He served as Braze's founding CEO until 2015.
Before Braze, he spent two years leading an energy group within his family's business, which includes the American Dream megamall. In 2020, he became Co-CEO of American Dream, the massive retail and entertainment complex in New Jersey.
In 2023, Ghermezian launched m]x[v Capital, an early-stage venture capital fund focused on B2B SaaS. He also co-founded and serves as CEO of Gynger.io, a buy now, pay later platform for tech purchases, and Tildei, an AI-powered customer communication platform.
He chairs the board of Apploi and sits on the boards of Zedge, Fourpost, and other companies. An active angel investor, his early stakes include Nutanix, Lattice, ThoughtSpot, Outreach, Rubrik, Wag, and Riskified. Ghermezian holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
