Markus Stricker

Markus Stricker is a seasoned risk management executive with over 20 years of experience spanning the insurance, lottery, and iGaming industries. He currently serves as Managing Partner at Fortanach, a risk consultancy that advises operators on regulatory compliance, prize indemnity, and risk-off tools. His deep expertise in prize indemnity and re/insurance solutions has made him a sought-after advisor in the iGaming and lottery sectors.
Prior to founding Fortanach, Stricker held chief risk officer roles at ALOT Solutions, a Lottoland subsidiary, and at Malta-licensed lottery betting operator Jackpot.com. He also spent four years at Zurich-based insurance firm Twelve Capital, where he served as Chief Risk Officer before being appointed CEO and Head of Analytics in January 2015. In addition to his corporate roles, he is a senior lecturer at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich). He holds a PhD in Mathematics.
