Matt Kalish

Matthew "Matt" Kalish is an American entrepreneur and business executive, widely recognized for co-founding DraftKings, a prominent platform for daily fantasy sports, online sports betting, and iGaming. He earned a B.S. in computer science and economics from Columbia University and an M.B.A. from Boston College. Kalish began his professional career in business analytics at Capital One, where he met future DraftKings co-founder Jason Robins.

In December 2011, Kalish co-founded DraftKings with Robins and Paul Liberman, launching it as a daily fantasy sports platform in 2012. He initially served as Chief Revenue Officer from 2014 to December 2019. In December 2019, he was appointed President of DraftKings North America, a role he held until March 31, 2026. In this capacity, he oversaw sportsbook, iGaming, daily fantasy sports, and marketplace operations, as well as leading marketing, customer experience, and product development efforts.

Kalish played a pivotal role in DraftKings' significant growth, particularly following the 2018 U.S. Supreme Court decision to repeal PASPA, which enabled the company to expand into legal online sports betting across multiple states and establish market leadership in real-money gaming. He has been a director on DraftKings' board since April 2020 and continues in this non-executive role.

More recently, in November 2025, Kalish founded and became the CEO of HardScope, a creator media platform. HardScope is designed to provide comprehensive support, including production, brand partnerships, and commercialization, to high-potential content creators across various verticals. His career demonstrates a strong focus on innovation at the intersection of technology, sports, analytics, and consumer entertainment.
