Micaela Olivetto

President of the Gaming, Lottery, and Problem Gambling Prevention Commission, Buenos Aires Chamber of Deputies

Micaela Olivetto is a provincial deputy (diputada) in the Legislature of the Province of Buenos Aires, representing the Chacabuco district. She is affiliated with La Cámpora, a political youth organization aligned with Kirchnerism. In early 2026, she was appointed president of the newly created Gaming, Lottery, and Problem Gambling Prevention Commission, a body tasked with evaluating and advancing legislation to regulate online betting, restrict advertising aimed at minors, and implement problem-gambling prevention measures.

As commission chair, Olivetto has been a vocal proponent of tighter controls on digital gambling platforms. She has committed to convening specialists to inform legislative proposals and has emphasized the need for cross-party cooperation on this issue. Her work has drawn attention from both local media and international iGaming publications.

Beyond gambling regulation, Olivetto has demonstrated legislative activity in environmental conservation, notably co-sponsoring the Pampas deer protection law. Before entering politics, no prior professional roles outside public service have been publicly documented. Her legislative career began at least by March 2025, and she has since become a recognized figure in Buenos Aires provincial politics.
