Michael Gord

Michael Gord is a serial entrepreneur and investor in the blockchain and Web3 space. He is the founder and CEO of GDA Capital, a firm focused on institutionalizing digital assets and providing capital markets services. He also co-founded the Metaverse Group, the first virtual real estate company, and founded MLG Blockchain, a blockchain development and consulting firm. Gord has been a prominent advocate for digital assets in Canada and was the first enterprise blockchain developer hired by TD Bank.

Over his career, Gord has helped raise and structure over $380 million across private, public, and structured capital markets. He has invested in over 80 ventures, with 70+ portfolio companies including four that reached unicorn status and one decacorn. He claims three exits and four acquisitions. His current projects include prediction markets such as Matrix.fun and Flashy Gold, which involve betting-like mechanics but are not classified as regulated gambling.

Gord has delivered over 100 keynote appearances across 20+ countries and has served as Managing Director of the DigitalBits Foundation and Technical Advisor for the Ubex project. He built the first university blockchain communities in Canada and remains a key figure in the digital assets ecosystem.
