Michael Pollock is a veteran gaming industry analyst and strategic advisor, currently serving as Senior Policy Advisor at Spectrum Gaming Group. He transitioned to this role after more than two decades as the firm's Managing Director, where he oversaw policy and impact studies for government clients and financial/market analyses for private-sector clients.

Pollock began his career in gaming analysis in 1978. From 1991 to 1996, he served as spokesman for the New Jersey Casino Control Commission, acting as a close advisor to the chairman and overseeing the Office of Legislative Liaison during a period of rapid deregulation. He is the author of the award-winning book Hostage to Fortune: Atlantic City and Casino Gambling and has earned over 20 journalism awards. Earlier in his career, he was the editorial page editor of The Press of Atlantic City.

Pollock has testified before international tribunals, the U.S. Senate, and numerous state legislative committees. He holds an MBA with high honors from Rutgers University and has served on the adjunct faculty of New York University, Rutgers University, and Stockton University. His expertise is frequently sought by national media, and he is a regular speaker at industry conferences.
