Mike Larragueta
President and CEO of the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA)
Mike Larragueta has nearly 30 years of experience in the gaming, travel, and hospitality industry. He currently serves as President and CEO of the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA), where he leads destination marketing for the Reno-Tahoe region and oversees four major event venues. He was appointed to the permanent role in May 2024 after serving nine months as interim President and CEO.
Prior to becoming CEO, Larragueta was Vice President of Sales at RSCVA since 2017. In that role, he spearheaded the creation of Nevada’s only indoor track facility at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Before his tenure at RSCVA, he spent more than 12 years in executive hotel positions at major Las Vegas casino resorts, including The Venetian, Palazzo, Hard Rock, and The Palms. He also served as Corporate Vice President of Global Distribution for Baha Mar Casino & Hotel in the Bahamas.
A native of Winnemucca, Nevada, Larragueta is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno. His extensive background in both gaming and destination marketing positions him to drive tourism and convention business for the Reno-Tahoe area.
