Neil Bluhm

Founder and Chairman of Rush Street Gaming

Neil G. Bluhm is a Chicago-born real estate and gaming executive. After earning his law degree, he practiced law in Chicago before co-founding JMB Realty in 1968 with Judd Malkin and Robert Judelson. JMB grew into one of the country’s largest real estate investment and syndication firms, and Bluhm served as a managing principal there for more than two decades.

He left JMB in 1994 to found Walton Street Capital LLC, a real estate private-equity firm, and he continues to serve as its principal. In 2010 he founded Rush Street Gaming, which developed and operates Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, Rivers Casino Philadelphia, Rivers Casino Des Plaines, and Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady.

Two years later, Rush Street Gaming launched Rush Street Interactive as its digital arm; the online sports betting and iGaming company operates the BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse brands and became publicly traded in 2020. Bluhm’s ownership group also acquired the WNBA’s Chicago Sky in 2011.

He continues to serve as founder and chairman of Rush Street Gaming and Rush Street Interactive while remaining active in real estate through Walton Street Capital.
