Nell Watson
Chief Scientist at Ethics Net/Creed Space
Nell Watson is a tech philosopher, AI ethicist, and machine intelligence engineer. As of 2026 she serves as Chief Scientist at Ethics Net/Creed Space, a role that brings her to the iGaming industry as a keynote speaker on AI and cybersecurity, most notably at the SBC Summit Canada.
Watson pioneered deep machine vision through her company Poikos (now QuantaCorp), which enabled accurate body measurement from just two photos. This work laid the foundation for her broader expertise in ethical artificial intelligence and autonomous systems.
She is AI Faculty at Singularity University, Chair of the IEEE’s ECPAIS Transparency Experts Focus Group, Vice-Chair of IEEE P7001 on Transparency of Autonomous Systems, and President of the European Responsible Artificial Intelligence Office (EURAIO). These roles place her at the center of global standards development for responsible AI.
Watson also acts as an Executive Consultant on philosophical matters for Apple, Senior Scientific Advisor to The Future Society at Harvard, and is the author of Taming the Machine: Ethically Harness the Power of AI. Her speaking engagements include the World Bank, the United Nations General Assembly, and The Royal Society. She is currently a PhD candidate in Engineering at the University of Gloucestershire, focused on formal ethics verification for AI systems.
