Founder and CEO of Locker

Noah Bernstein is the founder and CEO of Locker, a sports gaming application that combines elements of sports betting, daily fantasy sports (DFS), and trivia into a unique contest app. Launched in late 2023, Locker allows players to make in-game predictions during live sports events, primarily focusing on the NFL, and earn cash prizes. The platform aims to offer a differentiated and engaging experience by making predictions on upcoming offensive drives, providing an interactive second-screen social platform that targets the engagement of a younger demographic.

Bernstein's entrepreneurial journey began early, even during high school where he worked in engineering at Boeing. He pursued higher education at UC Berkeley, studying electrical engineering and computer science, where he met his co-founder, Hugh Roberts. Their shared interest in entrepreneurship led them to work on several projects as undergraduates, including running a sales team for a digital media startup.

Before founding Locker, Bernstein and Roberts were approached by Hatchery Investments, Locker's lead investor, during their junior year of college. They were given a budget to develop an MVP, a project that offered Bernstein experience working with seasoned professionals, including a vice president from Apple. After graduating, they refined their vision, focusing on an industry they enjoyed and a product for which they would be the target demographic. This led to the development of Locker, which completed its seed round before Bernstein even graduated.

Locker initially launched as a free-to-play platform and plans to introduce pay-to-play games with higher jackpots, operating as a DFS operator in states where peer-to-peer pools are classified as games of skill. Bernstein and his team are continuously iterating on their NFL product and plan to expand to NBA and MLB products in 2024, seeing a vast potential for growth in digital fan experiences within the gaming space.
