Oliver Scheibenbogen
Head of the Department of Creativity and Life Design at the Anton Proksch Institute
Dr. Oliver Scheibenbogen studied psychology at the University of Vienna, earning a Master of Science in 2001. He completed training as a clinical and health psychologist in 2003 and has been registered with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Health and Women since then. In 2006 he finished doctoral studies in psychology at the University of Human Sciences in Liechtenstein and Vienna, receiving a Doctor of Natural Sciences degree.
Since joining the Anton Proksch Institute in 1996, Dr. Scheibenbogen has risen to lead its Department of Creativity and Life Design, a clinical treatment and research centre for addiction disorders including gambling. He also coordinates issues for the European Society on Treatment of Alcohol Dependence and related Disorders (ESTAD).
A certified biofeedback therapist and teaching therapist, he serves on the board of the Austrian Society for Biofeedback and Psychophysiology (ÖBfP). He is further certified as a lecturer by the Federal Ministry for clinical and health psychology training. His professional focus includes addiction prevention, treatment innovation, and life design approaches.
