Per Widerström is a senior iGaming executive with over 17 years of industry leadership experience. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of evoke plc (formerly 888 Holdings), the group operating William Hill, Mr Green, 888casino and other betting brands. He was appointed to this role effective 16 October 2023.
Widerström began his career in management consulting at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in 1991, later moving into the gambling sector. He joined Fortuna Entertainment Group in 2004 as CEO of the Czech Republic operations and was promoted to Group CEO in 2007. During his tenure at Fortuna, the company grew into a leading Central European betting and gaming operator. He left Fortuna in 2020.
After leaving Fortuna, Widerström served as a Non-Executive Board Member at Bilthouse GmbH (on behalf of Nordic Capital) and as an advisor. He holds a degree from the London School of Economics and is based in the United Kingdom.
