Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson is a prominent British businessman who has served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and executive director of Flutter Entertainment since January 2018. Flutter Entertainment is a multinational sports betting and iGaming company that encompasses brands such as FanDuel, Paddy Power, Betfair, Sky Betting & Gaming, and PokerStars.

Born on October 14, 1975, in Leeds, Yorkshire, Jackson studied manufacturing engineering at Pembroke College, Cambridge. His early career began in consulting at McKinsey & Company, followed by roles in banking at Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) as head of products and at Lloyds Banking Group as managing director of consumer banking. He then transitioned into payments and fintech, serving as CEO of Travelex Holdings from 2010 to 2015, and later as CEO of Worldpay UK from 2017 to 2018.

Jackson initially joined Paddy Power Betfair (now Flutter Entertainment) as a non-executive director in February 2016, before succeeding Breon Corcoran as CEO in January 2018. Under his leadership, the company rebranded to Flutter Entertainment in May 2019. A significant achievement during his tenure was the $6.1 billion acquisition of The Stars Group in 2020, which positioned Flutter as the world's largest online betting operator. He has also overseen Flutter's primary listing on the New York Stock Exchange and the scaling of FanDuel into the largest US sportsbook.

Jackson is actively involved in promoting responsible gaming practices, having influenced the industry's shift towards such initiatives and collaborating with the UK Gambling Commission. He also serves on the boards of Deliveroo and AIRE. Recognized for his contributions, he was named the Irish Times Business Person of the Month for September 2024 for guiding Flutter through substantial acquisitions and bolstering its market position.
